There is a\u00a0Memorandum of Understanding\u00a0(Q1053964)<\/small><\/a>\u00a0between\u00a0Wikimedia Deutschland\u00a0(Q8288)<\/small><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Universit\u00e4t Erfurt\u00a0(Q702524)<\/small><\/a>\u00a0about building a database \u2014 named\u00a0FactGrid<\/a>\u00a0and to be hosted at\u00a0Forschungszentrum Gotha der Universit\u00e4t Erfurt\u00a0(Q1438165)<\/small><\/a>\u00a0\u2014 with a level of granularity that is driven by research needs (primarily of historians) rather than\u00a0Wikidata:Notability<\/a>. I am about to get involved and thus beginning to collect information on the project.<\/p>\n

Test corpus<\/span><\/h2>\n

FactGrid will be seeded with content from\u00a0The Gotha Illuminati Research Base<\/a>, which is of historic interest.<\/p>\n

Licensing<\/span><\/h2>\n

FactGrid is aiming at licensing its content under\u00a0CC BY 3.0\u00a0(Q14947546)<\/small><\/a>. I am not sure this is the way to go forward and recommend serious consideration to go for\u00a0CC0\u00a0(Q6938433)<\/small><\/a>\u00a0instead to ensure maximal compatibility with Wikidata. There are other databases that have recently switched their licensing to CC0 for this reason, e.g. see the respective\u00a0announcement<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0WikiPathways\u00a0(Q7999828)<\/small><\/a>.<\/p>\n
